We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Business Development to lead and scale paytech’s global commercial operations. This role is not just about closing deals — it’s about building the full sales engine: defining the go-to-market structure, mentoring a high-performing B2B team, and driving a revenue strategy aligned with our long-term vision. The ideal candidate combines hands-on expertise in payments or fintech with a proven record of selling complex, technology-driven solutions. You’re a leader who brings structure, clarity, and focus — able to identify opportunities and elevate both people and processes.


 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and optimise the end-to-end commercial process — from lead generation to account growth.
  • Define and implement clear KPIs for all sales team members to ensure accountability and measurable performance.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive sales knowledge base: playbooks, onboarding materials, and best practices.
  • Design and execute a scalable revenue strategy focused on sustainable growth and long-term partnerships.
  • Drive new business acquisition through strategic prospecting, networking, and partnerships across key verticals.
  • Leverage a strong personal network in payments and fintech to accelerate growth and unlock high-value opportunities.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the CRM system for transparency, data accuracy, and pipeline visibility.
  • Create high-quality sales materials that support the sales process and strengthen paytech’s brand image.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Operations to align sales execution with platform capabilities and market trends.
  • Lead by example in complex deals — joining key calls, negotiations, and client meetings when needed.
  • Monitor performance metrics, forecast revenue, and report key insights to the executive team.
  • Establish scalable sales processes that ensure consistency, structure, and visibility across the team.
  • Represent paytech at industry events and conferences, building brand visibility and credibility.
  • Act as a proactive voice for commercial needs — ensuring strong cross-department collaboration and feedback loops.

Requirements:

  • Industry Expertise: Deep understanding of payments, fintech, and B2B SaaS ecosystems. Experience selling payment platforms, orchestration, or white-label solutions. Minimum 3 years in a senior or leadership role within Payments or Fintech SaaS sales.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in building or scaling a sales function and achieving measurable revenue growth.
  • Leadership: Skilled in mentoring and motivating high-performing teams in fast-paced environments.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to translate business goals into actionable sales strategies and frameworks.
  • Communication: Clear, persuasive communicator able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Network: Established connections within the payments and fintech ecosystem.
  • Operational Discipline: Data-driven, structured, and capable of building efficient, repeatable sales processes.
  • Cultural Fit: Entrepreneurial, transparent, and collaborative — thrives in a culture built on ownership and innovation.
  • Russian is desirable but not required.
  • Fluent English is mandatory.
