paytech Achieves PCI DSS Level 1: Elevating Payment Security and Trust
Overview
paytech is a dynamic fintech company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation in the industry.
We are looking for an experienced Business/System Analyst to join the team responsible for the financial module of our payment platform.
The module covers financial calculations, transaction and financial reporting, reconciliation processes, reporting APIs, client-specific configurations, and other functionality supporting the financial operations of our clients.
The analyst will work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, Support, and client-facing teams, helping transform business needs into well-defined requirements and supporting functionality throughout its lifecycle — from initial discovery and analysis to implementation, acceptance, documentation, and production rollout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Discover, analyse, and formalise business requirements;
- Design implementation-ready functional specifications and acceptance criteria;
- Analyse transaction flows, financial logic, APIs, data models, and system behaviour;
- Validate financial calculations and business rules using data;
- Investigate complex client scenarios and production issues;
- Support QA with edge cases and perform functional acceptance;
- Document financial logic, configurations, APIs, and implementation scenarios;
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, Support, and clients across multiple initiatives.
Job Requirements:
Must Have
- Strong understanding of payment processing and transaction lifecycles;
- Experience analysing financial calculations, reconciliation, settlements, fees, FX, and transactional data;
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation;
- Comfortable working with REST APIs, Postman, logs, and databases;
- Ability to investigate complex system behaviour rather than relying on assumptions;
- Experience writing clear functional specifications and acceptance criteria;
- Comfortable switching between multiple clients, products, and priorities;
- Product mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with a PSP, payment processor, acquirer, payment gateway, or bank;
- Experience with high-volume transactional systems;
- Knowledge of merchant settlement, reconciliation, and multi-currency processing;
- Experience supporting client onboarding and configurable financial platforms.
