Introducing the paytech Plugin: Build Your Integration With AI

At paytech we keep moving forward and coming up with new things that make your work easier. The latest one is a plugin that helps merchants' tech teams build their integration with the paytech whitelabel API, straight from the AI tool you already use. You describe what you need, and the plugin does the groundwork.

What the plugin does

It explains payment flows such as deposits, withdrawals, refunds, saved cards, subscriptions, captures and voids. It builds checkout integrations with a hosted checkout, embedded card fields, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and provides the code, the configuration steps and the sandbox tests. It reviews code you already have and points out duplicate-charge risks, webhook issues and wrong payment statuses. And when something goes wrong, it helps you understand why, whether that is a declined payment, a pending transaction, a timeout or an API error.

How it stays accurate

The plugin does not guess. It comes with the paytech API specification and reads from it, so the field names and statuses it uses are the real ones. The integrations it builds also play it safe where payments usually go wrong. They check that every webhook really comes from us, handle the same webhook arriving twice or in the wrong order and never treat a customer landing back on your site as proof of payment. Only a verified webhook or a status check counts.

It also fits into the code you already have, using your existing order statuses and asking you before it adds anything new. Ready-made examples cover Java, Node and Python, and for any other language it tells you up front which parts it could not fully verify.

Open source, and always improving

Your team can see exactly how the plugin works, because it is open source under the MIT licence. It collects no data and has no server of its own, and we keep improving it with every release.

How to get started

You can already install the plugin from the ChatGPT plugin library, and a Claude version is coming soon.

Your sandbox API key and signing key come from your back office or support, so keep them safe and out of your repository. Then give the plugin a task, such as integrating card payments with deposits and refunds through the hosted payment page, and review the result like any other pull request. Start on the sandbox, and move to production only when everything works there.

More to come

We believe AI is going to change payments in a big way, and we are excited about every part of it. But in payments, exciting is never enough, so we are committed to making everything we build reliable first and impressive second. The plugin is yours to try today, and what comes after it is already taking shape.
